The GrabFood Cambodia Strategy team drives business growth through data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and structured problem-solving. The team focuses on improving GrabFood performance and unlocking growth opportunities across Cambodia, particularly in cities outside Phnom Penh.

We work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business performance, identify opportunities, and develop initiatives that create value for users, merchant-partners, driver-parters and Grab.

Get to Know the Role

As an Intern, GrabFood (Special Projects), you will support business reviews and growth initiatives focused on GrabFood's expansion and performance in Cambodia's outer cities.

You will assist the manager to analyse business performance, draw meaningful insights, identify root causes of challenges, and help develop practical growth strategies. This role provides hands-on exposure to business strategy, analytics, problem-solving, and project execution.

You will report to the Food Strategy Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Assist on regular business reviews by analysing performance data and preparing clear presentation materials.
  • Assist to Identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and growth opportunities across GrabFood's outer cities.
  • Assist to conduct structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis to understand business challenges.
  • Translate analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations for business growth.
  • Support the development, prioritisation, and tracking of growth strategies and initiatives.
  • Use AI tools to support research, data analysis, ideation, and documentation while validating the accuracy and relevance of outputs.
  • Perform other tasks that important to business.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • You have experience using data visualisation or business intelligence tools such as Superset, Power BI, or similar platforms (if any).
  • You can interpret quantitative and qualitative information and convert it into clear business insights (it is the plus).
  • You can structure ambiguous problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • You can create clear presentations and communicate recommendations in a concise and logical manner.
  • You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.

Good to Have

  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in strategy, analytics, consulting, or operations.
  • Interest in food delivery, e-commerce, marketplace businesses, or growth strategy.
  • Familiarity with the Cambodia consumer or digital economy landscape.
  • Proficiency in Khmer and English.
